PROTECTING THE ENVIRONMENT
The Rotary Club of Lincoln has established an Environmental Committee that has been mandated to create awareness and provide education regarding today’s environmental issues in our community.
The Committee looks for project opportunities by determining our area’s greatest needs and then aligning them with what our club can do to make an impact.
WATERSHED HEALTH
This includes the Great Lakes Watershed cleanup and the adopt the road program.
TREE PLANTING
Potential projects with Trout Unlimited and the NPCA, including Cave Springs and Rockway, are being investigated.
NATIVE PLANTS / POLLINATORS
The advantages of choosing native plants and some resources for the purchase and care of native plants.
ECO-SERIES
Has been established by the Lincoln Rotary Environmental Committee inviting speakers of interest to the environment and environmental issues. This is a free community event usually held at the Fleming Centre in Beamsville.
